Sharmila Reddy’s father worked as an engineer for NTPC and traveled extensively throughout India. Later, he ventured into business and eventually settled in Rajahmundry, which is also the hometown of her mother. Sharmila has a younger brother, who is currently living in Hyderabad after completing his MS in the US.
In college, Sharmila was a top-performing student with dreams of living independently in America. However, her marriage was arranged during her third year of B. Tech, and she tied the knot in her final year.
