Why is Cyber Security Important? This is the full explanation
Indonesia has again become the target of cyber attacks carried out by hackers, starting from SIM card data, PLN, Indihome, PT Jasamarga TollRoad Operator, until recently the personal data of the President of the Republic of Indonesia was targeted.
Millions of important documents were retrieved from the database, including NIK, KTP, KK, Mobile Numbers, Home Addresses, and other important documents.
According to National Cyber Security Index (NCSI) data, cyber security in Indonesia is ranked 6th in Southeast Asia. While globally Indonesia is ranked 83rd out of 160 countries. But judging from the cases that have frequently appeared lately, the data appears to be invalid due to recent data leaks.
Please note, Cyber Security is an action to protect devices, networks, programs and data from cyber threats and illegal access. These threats are usually carried out by persons who are not responsible for various interests that harm the victim.
Cybersecurity Concept
1. Confidentiality
What is meant by secrecy is to limit access and only be intended for certain people. This is very important to do so that data leaks do not occur in the future.
2. Integrity
The purpose of integrity is conveying true, correct and accurate information to the public. Companies need to protect data owned by users so that it does not leak to unauthorized parties.
3. Availability
The third concept is being prepared. Don’t let customers be disappointed with the system that you or your company has.
To maintain cyber security in Indonesia, of course, a very good institution is needed which contains people who do have capacity in this field. Do you think Kominfo and BSSN have that? does not seem.
Referring to Presidential Regulation or Presidential Regulation Number 28 of 2021, the task of the BSSN is to carry out government duties in the field of cyber security and ciphers to assist the President in administering government. Does BSSN do that? if so, why can there be data leaks that have been happening continuously lately. Cyber Security in Indonesia is considered to be made by 14 year olds.
The target of the next cyber attack was leaked, Pertamina, following the result of rising fuel prices. Well, let’s just wait and see how the OpenSource country of Indonesia will do in the midst of cyber attacks.
Is this attack just a diversion? or our data is deliberately sold? we don’t know
